.Hello supporters, we need your help. The success of an Oregon Youth Mountain Biking League depends on leadership, and I can't do it all on my own. Leadership opportunities exist at several levels of commitment, which are listed below.

Founding League Development Committee: (5-10 hours per week) One of the core leaders in the organization with duties and responsibilities that will require 5-10 hours a week of commitment, supporting the league director working with NICA staff, the League Leadership Committee, sub committees, community members, event organizers, school administrators, parents, student athletes, etc. The League Development Committee will be in place for two years, and will meet at least monthly. This group will work to build statewide support for a league, develop the elements for a first NICA racing season in Fall 2018, and help develop other leaders and committees. Below are the current League Development Committee members, will you join us?
Advising Committee Member: (2-5 hours per week) Involved with the Leadership Committee providing oversight, guidance, networking, fundraising and program support to the core leaders, NICA, etc. Advisor often provide a very specific service for the league that is related to their profession (Doctors, lawyers, fundraisers, organizational consultant, graphic artist, etc.) Sub-Committees: (2-5 hours per week) Involved with one of the sub-committee areas such as fundraising, team development, program implementation, working with the leadership committee to execute projects.
Head Coach, Asst. Coach, or Ride Leader - We need coaches in the Portland/SW Washington/Hood River area, Bend, Eugene/Oakridge, Corvallis/Albany. Dedicated coaches will be trained by NICA-certified coach trainers during a two-day event in winter/spring 2018 and will receive coach licensing from NICA. These individuals typically are interested in getting the new league up and running but have a limited amount of time to dedicate to the effort.
